A quintessentially English afternoon filled with bubbles, laughter, and the most delicious cream tea was enjoyed by many as St James Church, Leckhampstead, hosted the much awaited Afternoon Tea & Prosecco fundraising event on Saturday 21st June.
Guests gasped as they arrived to see beautifully decorated tables brimming with a classic afternoon tea spread, complete with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with cream and jam, and an array of cakes and biscuits. The Prosecco added some sparkle to the atmosphere as classical music played softly in the background.
The event was held to raise funds to support the upkeep of St James Church and village graveyard and we were thrilled at the turnout. We even had feedback saying it was better than afternoon tea at The Goring Hotel!
