Last night, St James Church was transformed once again for our Pop-Up-Pub & BBQ. We run the Pop-Up-Pub every 6 weeks or so and it continues to be a popular event, with around 80-100 people from our community attending.
Craft beer enthusiasts were treated to a selection from two local breweries: the Indigenous Brewery and Arkell’s Brewery. Our cocktail of the month was a fruity and refreshing Pimms cocktail, perfect for a mild May evening.
Thanks to Sam, Thomas and Michelle for manning the BBQ which proved to be a great success! We were entertained by the one and only Rev Mike, who delivered live music with an uplifting set of crowd-pleasers from Tina Turner to Oasis. His musical talents once again proved to be a major hit, keeping spirits high and encouraging a sing along at points during the evening.
Games added another layer of fun – future darts champions channelled their inner Luke Littler, while younger visitors tackled the Giant Jenga, building and toppling towers in equal measure.
The Pop-Up-Pub has quickly become a much-anticipated event in the village calendar, providing a vibrant mix of entertainment, great food and drinks, whilst building community friendship.
Our next Pop-Up-Pub takes place on Friday 4th July and is a Rockaoke special. Get ready to unleash your inner rockstar as Rev Mike and his band will take to the stage for a special Rockaoke edition of the Pop-Up-Pub. Whether you’re a shower singer or a seasoned performer, this is your chance to sing your heart out with live musical backing. We will be serving hot dogs to keep your energy levels high, so mark your calendars – you won’t want to miss it!
