We are delighted to welcome back The Blackheart Orchestra to play at St James Church, Leckhampstead on the evening of Friday 1st November, as part of their Bloodlines tour.
The Blackheart Orchestra are multi-award winning, multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Plkington. They comprise a two person ‘orchestra’ playing up to 13 instruments in their unique live show. They have been described as a modern day Pink Floyd with influences from as far afield as Kate Bush, Portishead and Cocteau Twins to modern composers Steve Reich and Philip Glass. Their last two albums both achieved Top 20 positions with latest album Hotel Utopia charting at #13 in the UK and winning Best British Album, Best Song and best Female Vocalist in the USA Progressive Rock Awards. The Blackheart Orchestra currently sits on six Best Albums of the year lists in the UK.
They will be joined by their support act, Olga Dikajee, a Russian singer-songwriter from near Lake Ladoga in northwest Russia. Her music combines weavings of folk, neo-baroque, neoclassical, progressive rock and more with her new album Forget-Me-Nots.
Doors open at 7:30pm and we will have an open bar with refreshments throughout the evening. Tickets are £18 per person and are on a first come, first served basis – so book now using the link below, before the rush! There is free parking in the field opposite the church.
